For an efficient and worry – free handrails installation procedure, these materials and tools have to be present: tape, handrail, L brackets, screws, wood glue, miter box, miter saw, clamps, stud finder, drill, awl, combination square, screwdriver, tape measure, safety glasses, level.
There are several kinds of materials for making handrails that are widely popular and preferred by the customers – aluminum, vinyl, wood, steel. Each one of them has its benefits but you are advised to take the technician’s opinion into consideration when choosing the material. Aluminum will not rust, rot or split. It is more durable and easier to clean.

The second step requires careful measurements to be made and the important locations marked with chalk.
In order to proceed with the handrail installation, the technicians will need customer’s help because the rail has to be positioned at the right height and the brackets be clamped to the wall.

Next, the upper and the lower ends of the rail should be cut with a miter box in order to get a 45 degree angle.
If any attachments are needed, some glue will be used along with the L- brackets and screws. For extra durability during the procedure, some tape can be wrapped up around the handrails and removed when the glue gets dry.
